It’s finally here, and we’re so excited to see the foursome on the big screen all over again. This time, for two and a half hours in Abu Dhabi. I knew I was going to see Aidan here, but I was expecting more drama. I think the issues were very real, but not quite as scandalous as the series.
I like how this focus was about the refusal to conform to tradition. No matter what your age, you’re always battling against what came before you. But doesn’t that make us all the same?
I saw this last night and there was a line-up an hour before it started. Luckily I was there 45 minutes before and snagged an awesome seat. The place was so full of women and gay men, I almost felt sorry for Mr. Body Noise. It was great to watch this movie with such an enthusiastic audience. We all laughed, clapped and cheered at the appropriate moments.
I enjoyed the escape to a foreign land, rather than a paradise retreat like last time. They actually got to visit the city and experience a complete cultural change. Although they were notoriously American in the film, I loved the instability and the “crazy in Abu Dhabi.”
Overall, it’s a cute movie to watch, it’s relatable to everyone and there’s so many hilarious jokes and beautiful things to gawk over.
